Description of Lopatol 500

Uses

LOPATOL is indicated for treatment and control of roundworms and tapeworms in dogs.

Dosage and Administration

LOPATOL is given by single oral administration at a minimum dose rate of 50 mg nitroscanate per kg body weight i.e. 1 x 100 mg tablet per 2 kg body weight and 1 x 500 mg tablet per 10 kg body weight.

LOPATOL is given with or immediately after ¼ of the daily food, in the morning when the dog`s stomach is empty. The rest of the food can be provided at the evening meal. The tablets can be given either into the mouth of the dog or in the portion of food.

Contra-indications

As with other vermicides, Lopatol should not be administered to severely debilitated animals.

Pharmaceutical Precautions

Lopatol should not be administered concomitantly with other anthelmintics.
